 Letter From the Head Teacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

This is a note to inform you of our progress in appointing a new Headteacher.

As you will know Mrs. Madeline Vosper will leave the post of Headteacher at the end of term. We will say a great big 'Thank You' to her then to celebrate her work at Burton End.

The process of appointing a new Headteacher is well underway, with Trust Officers and Governors working together to find the best candidate. We are eager to appoint a successful candidate who is well-suited to the needs and aspirations of the Burton End Academy community. We hope to report progress to you next week. It is hoped that a successful candidate will begin in January 2018.

In the interim we are endeavouring to ensure the academy moves forward and that there is continuous strong leadership. Consequently, we have appointed an Acting Headteacher, Mr. Chris Beazeley, until the new Headteacher is in place. Additionally, we are bringing in early the new Acting Headteacher from Monday 3rd July to provide some time to work with Mrs. Vosper on a smooth handover until the end of term. Mr Beazeley will remain until January 2018 as the interim Acting Headteacher. Mr Beazeley is an experienced Headteacher and he is looking forward to working with everyone.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Sam Gallacher
Executive Headteacher
