 School Newsletter March 2017

We have had a busy few weeks since half-term and Burton End has been alive with the sound of Opera rehearsals (year 6 choir), children engaged in their Maths and English lessons as well as having fun watching the teachers compete in the Charity Pancake Race.

On Tuesday 7th March, we had several visitors in school from the Samuel Ward Academy Trust including Howard Lay, (CEO) who joined us for our whole school assembly,

Darren Woodward, (Director of Primary Education) and other Trust Headteachers to carry out a school review as they do with all Trust schools each year.

They talked to children, observed teaching and met with the leadership team. The excellent behaviour of our children in lessons and at playtimes was commented upon, as was the positive learning ethos within the school. They will help the school with pointers towards how we can continually improve.

I hope you enjoy reading about the exciting activities your children have engaged in so far this term.
